Alyssa Hobson (b.1990) is a visual artist living in San Diego, CA. She received her BFA in Photography from Academy of Art University in 2015. While her work is often seen more fine-art than commercial, she does not like limiting herself to those labels. The most important thing to her, is creating images and staying true to her vision. Her love of history and eye for texture produce imagery with a sense of times long past and faint memories.
Alyssa specializes in dark painterly imagery. Her style developed from a love of history and antiques. Her background in film, along with a keen eye for textures, produce imagery with a sense of time long past and the faint memories of eras before her time. Her images often dance the line between fantasy and reality. Alyssa is a California native, and when not working on photos she can often be found at the ocean frolicking with mermaids.
